When I initially conceptualized the winter ball, I knew I wanted to mail proper invitations to people, and me being me, I complicated the process as much as I could. After a lot of time playing with type faces, spacing, wording, and the basic design, I settled on a plan and made myself a stencil for the painting, free handed the lettering based on a prototype I had made as a guide for myself, and printed the more detailed information on separate paper. Originally I had intended to type up the details on one of my typewriters, but sadly the tapes in both are worn out and fully used, and I couldn't get my hands on more before the invitations needed to be sent out, so a printed fake typewriter font would have to do.
