After putting together the Winter Ball last year, I wanted to do another event this year. Initially I was going to do something in the summer, but due to the chaos of summer being what it is, I decided to go for a fall event. Autumn is my favorite season, and I wanted to put together a lavish, handmade, well presented feast/formal dinner, so I figured I would combine that idea with my love for fall. This feast would take the place of the September monthly picnic, and a fun midday event.
Though I had been slowly planning this feast for a few months, the ideas and plans and details kept changing, which meant I kept changing the design for the invitations, which meant I couldn't send them out. Finally I landed on a design I liked, and finalized the details, but then made the decoration of the invitations be as complicated as I could.
I really like the end result, but I do wish I could have streamlined the process so they were sent out a bit earlier.
